Well I have not posted anything here thought it is time again. I have been really thinking about starting my own business my husband kind of gave me the idea. I am a kind of shy person and have not been around many people in my life. My husband has worked at napa for about 17 years so he does know this business. So I am going to call my husband boss tomorrow and see if I can talk with him about how it works to run NAPA. I do hope he is willing to show me the ropes about the business. My one chanllege will be is helping comstumers this part I am not sure How i will do it. I also don't know what i will need technolgoy wise to help me.
I have told my rehab councelor this and she is very negative about it. She said I do not have the skills I need and with being afraid to people. My husband thinks I can get past all of this.
I do want to run my own business I think it will be good for me.

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. I have a deaf friend who is a part owner of two NAPA stores. It is very, very challenging for him to communicate but he finds ways. The key is to hire a manager or "right hand" who can do what's difficult for you.
One thing you can practice now is communicating with people and finding ways to get around the shyness. Sometimes the only way is to work hard through it, as fearful and painful as it may be.
thank you
